Season 3-5 Sonic Screwdriver Ultimate Edition

When you first open the packet, there is a moment of anticipation as you try and get the sonic to work. Batteries are included (In a cut out underneath the foam pad) but are difficult to find so initially I used my own.

The first time that sonic lit up was fantastic, the sound is clear and load and the light is lovely and bright. The blue strip on the side also 'glows' blue and this can be 'charged' by placing near a light for a 1 min. The microswitch button is fantastic and makes it feel like the real prop.

The paint finish is absolutely fantastic and weathers up nicely with a bit of use. The sliding action is fantastically smooth and feels amazing.

The whole product is extremely well engineered and can be completely disassembled if repairs need to be made, although I recommend you don't do this yourself unless you are competent to do so.

Overall, the product is absolutely amazing. It is a must have for any Dr Who fan!

I only have a few minor issues:

1) It would have been nice to receive some dispatch notification (although the surprise was nice).

2) The microswitch in mine is slightly dodgy, i.e. it operates fine when the sonic is 'closed', but if you push it up, it turns off unless you push it hard down. Its not a major issue, its just that it gave me such a fright because i thought it was broken!

3) The sonic comes slightly scratched, this can be sorted with a bit of fine wet 'n' dry paper if you desire to have a nice shiny sonic (Be careful of the paint finish)
