Chameleon Arch Pocket Watch - Ultimate Edition

I will be blunt and honest here, I originally ordered the first CT watch when it first came out and when I got it, I loved it. It was the only thing like it around and it was very nicely done. Over time, however, I kind of fell out of love with it. It niggled at me that it was quartz, and the face was too white, and the gold subdials were ...well gold. These began to stand out to me as off, over time and after I had an accident and lost the loop on the top of the watch that the chain attaches to, I decided to sell it and move on.
Eventually, after a couple of years, I began to really miss it, however, and though I still had my same reservations, I ordered a second one. It arrived and although I gave it a couple of weeks, the old cracks in my love for the watch reappeared. Too white, too gold, quartz etc. I sold it again.

But CT is a perfectionist. Not only that, but I have a suspicion that he is a perfectionist who listens. He tweaked everything on this watch that I had problems with, and a few things that I wasn't even consciously aware I had problems with, but did.

In short, although it is far too late now for any attempt at brevity, LOVE the UE Watch! First impressions are important, and literally right out of the box, this important moment is a victory.

The look of the metal is nicely aged and silvery. It looks distinct and vibrant where the original watch was dull and overly gray. It may well be my imagination, but there seems to be more heft and a feeling of solidity to the new watch. Feels nice.

Once opened, the face immediately stands out. The subdials are now a wonderful, vivid yellow and are recessed. This lends the watch a more robust and realistic feel, if that makes any sense. Less costumey and more actual artifact sort of thing. It's good. The face is also a very deep creamish color. Almsot a very, very light brown. Like age darkened parchment or something.

And that unmistakeable sweep of the second hand that mechanical watches have. Wonderful. I am sooo pleased to have this watch as a mechanical one.

This watch is the solid package. what I have wanted and envisioned in my mind since I saw it on the screen. What I was hoping for when I first found CT's original watch way back when. The man has an eye for detail and a drive for perfection beyond what it reasonable for most. He knows how to improve upon an already high level of workmanship and realize an even higher level.
