First of all I would like thank CT for the wonderful opportunity to purchase one of his most anticipated products yet to date.

Anyway, going on with the review I have to say that I was most pleased when it arrived on my doorstep, the sonic as advertised came inside a custom carry a box for transport, bearing the Seal of Rassilon. Much to my enjoyment, I opened it up and found sonic #19 there waiting for me, nicely packed away in a foam cut out to keep it protected during travel.

But for the life of me, I cannot explain the immense amount of joy I had when I picked it up and felt the weight of it. "It's perfect! I can't put it down!" I constantly said to myself. After screwing off the end cap and quickly inserting the batteries, I found the sound that it makes when I flicked it, or even when I extended the cage manually is just a satisfying click to your ears. Something I can guarantee you won't get anywhere else.

Speaking of sound, I was immediately impressed with how loud the actual sound was! It was super unreal how great it came out and while not extremely deafening, it was the perfect pitch! The weird thing is that you could actually feel the buzz in your ears if in the right room that carried the sound greatly! I'm serious. Unlike the character options toy sound chip that is used in the Rubbertoe Replicas, (which is an extra £140 if you want it! £821.95 total or $1219.69) the sound and lights were activated within milliseconds of you pressing the button, instead of having a delay and a low quality sound like the Rubbertoe who's light and sound is literally on par with the character options toy and Wand Company sonic. When activating it, the sonic gives a satisfying click when the button is depressed, something I have yet to hear on other sonics, just as an added bonus!(it sounds like you are really activating it, instead of the smooth and quite activation I have heard) Moving to the light, I found that the emitter, when lit up, gives a fantastic and beautiful light milky teal color that comes properly from the top of the emitter, instead of lighting the entire thing up. Just looking at the smoky effect and admiring it just makes me want to buy another sonic just so I can get another! Regarding more emitters, as a freebie, CT has also thrown in a red emitter lens(while there was no such thing for the show and edited on in post process) just to sweeten the deal. Removal and installation of the emitter is easy as turning a doorknob, no screws required! But don't let that fool you, that because of that it will fall off when given the proper flick, the assembly of the emitters and installation all but guarantee that it won't come off unless you were taking it off yourself.

Although not seen too often or used after series 5, the mysterious red button is a nice is present on this sonic and is a perfect addon that really is the cherry on top. And while the production crew on set had so much trouble with theirs from it constantly flicking open to the point they decided to just scrap it, you needn't worry about this end cap opening unless you open it yourself.

Moving to the claws, you can see and feel just how sharp these bad boys are! Not only that but no lines are present on them! It truly looks like it is one piece, unlike the rubbertoe where it gives off the impression that they are two put together. The claws hug the emitter tight and give that real ingenuity feel that all Doctor Who fans strive for.

The leather grip is phenomenal, the stitching looks tight and the placement is just absolutely perfect.

The white resin pommel grip came pre-yellowed as all of them will do with use. However, I have a feeling that mine is going to turn gold with the amount of times I'm going to use it! It feels and looks crisp and has tiny little details that you just have to stare at for hours to appreciate it.

The copper is absolutely the best. Period. When it arrived, it did so unpolished and looked like the real thing from the show. No need to wait 2 months for it to get the right patina, it's ready and set out of the box. It feels sturdy to the touch and shape and build of the sonic is just sharp.

The cage is built to the design of the original and really looks like a hi tech device made straight out of the TARDIS. No shaky sound when handled, the aluminum looks fantastic and presents itself as royal machine. The inner core is true to the one seen on series 5, and the build of the cage is remarkable. No problems here when it comes to huge gaps that make the sonic feel and sound loose and unwieldy, this sonic doesn't have them!

Finally, the flick is something out of this world. The click sound from just extending it with your finger is extraordinary. You can flick this bastard and not feel scared to do so, as the build keeps it together and tight. You just have to see the videos and the sonic in person to truly appreciate how CT engineered this sonic to mimic the sound effect used on the show, and all I can say is damn. It's spot on.

In closing this sonic is the perfect sonic for any 11th cosplayer or prop collector of the series, and a MUST HAVE. It's screen accurate, sturdy, fun to play with and all around fantastic. The looks alone from people at local conventions will have you saying Geronimo! Do not delay on this as you do not want to miss it, and unless you have TARDIS key in hand, once they are gone. Take my word for it, they will be GONE.

So grab one and flick like a bastard before its too late!
