11th/12th Doctor Sonic Screwdriver

I've been a long-time fan of the 11th Doctor's sonic screwdriver and ever since purchasing the UE 10th from CT, I've been wanting an 11th version from this master prop artist. Sure, the opportunity arose to purchase a replica directly from the original prop maker, but the deciding factor for me has always been CT's ridiculous OCD attention to detail coupled with re-engineering internals and mechanisms to withstand constant handling (read: flicking) that most people would inflict on such an interesting prop. For that reason alone, I made up my mind to get a CT replica of the 11th when the chance arose and that's exactly what I just did. The flicking action is superb and only enhanced by the sublime sound it makes when doing so. The tightness and overall build is something that the original prop wished it had when the 11th Doctor put it through it's paces. No gaps, no lose internals, meticulously replicated details and a swirly emitter that almost looks as if the Milky Way is trapped inside! Would I recommend this replica? Highly and unequivocally! Accuracy is king in all Celestial Toystore replicas, but they are not just trailer queen props, these beauties are made to be used and not just displayed like a fragile vase. Now if you'll excuse me, I have some sonic flicking to attend to...
