Chameleon Arch Pocket Watch

I’ve always been a fan of pocket watches. Used to carry one on me everyday. They had style as well as function and never failed to get a compliment or catch the notice of those around me. So naturally when I saw the Chameleon Arch fob in Human Nature I was taken and I knew I needed to have one.

Well, sure enough, after time there were some makers of this watch, one a “replica” and the other a toy. Neither wowed me in the least as neither really tried to make a true screen accurate replica. Then I found CT’s replica…

The attention to detail on this piece is really immaculate. From all the screen caps I can take to holding this in my hand, I just can’t find fault. It is every bit as impressive and beautifully designed as the original. In fact, in many ways it is better than the original as this replica is made to be used rather than just to appear on screen for a few shots in an episode. Certainly as a prop collector and Doctor Who fan, the amount of time and skill that went into this piece is greatly appreciated to the fullest and every bit of it shows.

While the actual prop did not have a fob chain attached in the show CT was kind enough to include one with his for those of us who may give this watch some practical use. But not only that, he’s given the watch a nice storage box that doubles as a nice display piece in itself. Emblazoned with the Seal of Rassilon, this beautiful red wooden box is fit for the President himself. Well, it must be since it has his seal of approval.

If you’ve found yourself on the fence about picking up one of these Pocket Watches from CT, take it from me, get off the fence and do it. My only regret is not buying one sooner than I did.
