Season 3-5 Sonic Screwdriver Ultimate Edition

What can i say about this product that many haven't said? It's hard because this sonic is damn near close to perfect that there isn't much that really hasn't been said. Still I'm going to try.

When the Celestial Toystore first started making sonics they were the best. MFX just couldn't match them but the Celestial Toymaker wasn't happy until he could not only replicate the filming prop but also have it be externally accurate to said prop and with that he decided to revise his design and the finished product is just beautiful.

Many improvements were made to the design and tolerances were tightened up so that certain details really are clean and gorgeous. The inside of the emitter cage is clean and free of any flashing. The ring around the center tube has a very nice and even edge to it and the neck teeth line up beautifully. The inner core fits in the grip more snug so while it still makes the slight rattle sound the action of the slider is more smooth and straight eliminating any possibility of scuffs on the acrylic rod and coupling piece the emitter threads onto. The internals themselves have been refined to a beautiful look with a precise speaker grill and a rather clever battery compartment opening with a convenient hole so you can push the battery out easily. The brass core section also is individually laser engraved with a number, something the "official" license holders fail repeatedly to do, thus preventing you from being sure your limited edition sonic may not be quite so limited after all.

Not only that but the end cap is upgraded to the accurate derlin material molded off the screen used prop the Celestial Toymaker referenced. Then there's the finish. The grip is one of the first sonics offered in the correct cracked porcelain finish but not only that, it features a dirty finish to match the appearance of the prop as it looked over years of use. Then there's the glow in the dark blue stripe onthe side. A first as far as I know. It looks amazing in the dark and lasts a full 20 to 30 minutes.

Additionally there's the sound. Ahhh a sonic that is actually sonic and not a toy. It's a slightly different sound than the Celestial Toystore's previous outings but it's a great sound. A bit quiet when closed but slide that sonic open and you are treated to a sound clip that is louder than any toy made so far.


Forget what you heard about OTHER sonic screwdriver makers and their over priced sonics. For the price offered and the quality of the piece, these sonics are the best period. Add to that an IRONCLAD customer service and you can't go wrong. These sonics ARE the real deal. Get yourself one ASAP or regret it the rest of your life!
